Having trouble starting your snowblower? Here are some tips straight from our service department:
- Top up fuel tank with fresh fuel.
- Turn the fuel petcock to the ON position, commonly vertical position.
- Put the key in the ignition or turn the cut off switch to ON position.
- Throttle has to be above the OFF position, full throttle preferred.
- Choke knob in the ON position at maximum opening.
- Prime unit once or twice. Over priming will flood the spark plug with fuel and the machine will not start. “If you flood your unit, pull spark plug out, clean it, put it back, then wait an hour before trying to start unit again”
- Plug the entire starter (if no battery) and press the start button or pull on the recoil handle to start the engine.
- Once started, gradually get the choke knob back to the off position.
If you have followed all of the above steps and your unit is still not starting, please contact our service department for assistance.
