Fuel and Freedom (Ottawa R.A.T) is the official Triumph riders association for the Ottawa area. It is run by Triumph enthusiasts like you in association with the Ottawa Good Time Center. Membership is free and you don't need to ride a Triumph to love one!

We welcome all motorcycle enthusiasts who wish to discover Triumph's celebrated history and modern bikes to join our rides and social events. Membership is free.'

The Biker's Church is a non-denominational church which believes that every biker has a spiritual side that can be explored in a non-threatening, welcoming environment. Services are on Thursday nights to allow members to participate in the many rallies and events that take place on the weekends. A "typical" Thursday night service includes a show-n-shine, rocking blues music, shooting pool, biker videos, lots of magazines, as well as a relevant discussion on how to make sense of our spiritual side. Our pastor has been ordained for over 11 years, and is available, free of charge, for biker weddings, counseling, visitation, funerals, dedications, etc.

We're first and foremost a BMW motorcycle riders club but our practice has been to include people that ride other brands who enjoy the same activities and share the same values as our members.  Our members are from all walks of life: students, retirees, young and mature, street and adventure riders and everyone in between. They all have a common passion for motorcycling and in particular BMW motorbikes of all ages.

The BMA is a group of off-road motorcyclists dedicated to preserving and enhancing off-road motorcycling in the Ottawa area. We have semi-regular meetings, a newsletter and sponsor many events such as trail rides, as well as completive dirtbike events such as hare scrambles, ice racing, trials, and enduros.

The Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers Riding Club (CMC) is one of the fastest growing riding clubs in Canada with over 60 chapters coast to coast. The CMC is open to all riders, regardless of the type of bike they ride, and there are no membership fees. We are a family based riding club with all members of the family being welcome at most events.

Our mandate: It doesn't matter the brand, as long as you ride it!

The Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group (CVMG) is a 1600 member, Canada-wide organization that encourages the restoration, preservation, and use of Classic and Vintage motorcycles. Motorcyclists in the National Capital area owning a Classic or Vintage Motorcycle, (for CVMG purposes, a motorcycle over 10 years old) or with an interest in these motorcycles are invited to join the Ottawa Section of the CVMG. The CVMG offers an informative monthly newsletter. Dues are currently $35.00 per year. The CVMG Ottawa meets every Sunday morning for breakfast, at Local Heroes Restaurant, 1400 Clyde Ave., at 9:00 AM. For further information, contact Tim Bryans at 837-4839.

Motor Maids, Inc. is the oldest women's motorcycle club in North America. We are a diverse group of women motorcyclists united through a passion for riding.

The Ottawa Valley Touring Club is a "non-brand specific" motorcycle club. Our members are men and women of all ages who enjoy riding, traveling and socializing - promoting family fun and safety.

We ride all types and sizes of motorcycles - from sport bikes to touring bikes. Outings and events are aimed at promoting friendship, family, fun, and safety. The OVTC supports local charities and we try to get involved in community service as well as in fundraising endeavors through other motorcycle clubs and organizations.

This is the Ottawa Chapter of VROC (Vulcan Riders and Owners Club), a club for Kawasaki Vulcan, Nomad or Meanstreak riders. We are a chapter with no committee, no dues, nothing to worry about other than when our next ride will take place. Sponsored by The Prescott Tavern, where we hold all our club events. Ontario East Retreads are part of the International Retread Motorcycle Club Inc. Single members or one of a couple must be 40 years of age or over, and must be riders or enthusiasts of motorcycling. All brands of motorcycles are welcome.

Every year there are numerous Retread intra-club events such as rallies, tours and camp-outs.

On a local level, there is an annual rally in Ontario. The Eastern Ontario chapter has monthly breakfasts, a monthly newsletter called the Eastern Tread, and has social events in winter such as bowling and darts. Rides take place on a structured and informal basis in conjunction with the Sunday breakfast. In addition to this, a sub-group of the Retreads, the Romeos, has rides during the week for those who are able to get away.

The Ottawa Chapter is part of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club. The International SCRC was founded in 1998 in the U.S.A. by Rick "Rickster" Perry. With approximately 26,000 members, the SCRC is one of the fastest growing riding clubs in the world. Based out of the National Capital Region (Ottawa / Gatineau), Canada, Chapter 437 is made up of a group of folks who love to ride. The SCRC is not "Brand or Gender Specific", all are welcome. Fighting Prostate Cancer with the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre Foundation and the Ottawa Police Association.

The annual Motorcycle Ride For DAD raises money for prostate cancer research and education in the Ottawa area. In 2000 the Ride donated $24,000 to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre Foundation.

Canada's single biggest gathering of motorcyclists annually, and the single largest fundraising initiative for vision research in the world. Riders and friends from across Ontario collect pledges locally and then ride to Trenton in the City of Quinte West June 23 - 25 for a fun-filled weekend to celebrate their success in fundraising.

Thousands of Riders will participate in a full weekend of motorcycle fun. Nationally Riders and friends now raise over $1.2 million a year for The Foundation Fighting Blindness. The Foundation is the only charity in Canada dedicated to funding vision research.

Knowing all you can about your ATV and the places you can ride is the best preparation for safe and enjoyable riding.

The ATV Rider's course is 5-1/2 to 7 hour training program operated by CSC certified instructors. The curriculum, which is based on field-tested techniques, provides a fun and orderly way to learn proper ATV operation. The rider learns about controls, reading terrain, turning and climbing hills.

A separate ATV Rider's Course is also available for children under the age of 14 whose parents specifically permit them to ride ATV. The vehicle must be the proper size for the child as per ATV industry safety standards. With the exception of the Province of Quebec which requires riders to be 16 years of age.

A signed consent form is required from the parent or legal guardian. If the child is between 6 and 11 years of age, the parent or legal guardian must be present at the training site. No child will be allowed to ride without written parental consent and without the parent or legal guardian present.

The Rider Training Institute (RTI) is a national not-for-profit association that offers comprehensive motorcycle licensing and skills development training programs throughout locations across Ontario. Motorcyclists from all walks of life, both beginner and seasoned riders alike, choose the RTI as an ongoing partner in developing paths towards long term safe and enjoyable motorcycling careers.

We provide in classroom theory lessons on riding motorcycles and study common situations you may encounter. RTI has over 10 training centers in cities all across Ontario. RTI is a registered not for profit association run by motorcycle enthusiasts who are passionate about teaching others.
